What kind of fish, what fish? Cubs kah? Thank you..?
Good food but very crowded. The price is getting higher per year & the place is too small. I think they should create a second floor to increase the capacity or make a new system where we can booked a place before we eat there. It's so uncomfortable to see people waiting for us to finish eating exactly right behind our back with no waiting room for them. It's also difficult to park our car when we go there in lunch hour. Really hope they can improve the services.
Moresuperb frried fish with fresh fish soup. the sambal is to die for.
One of the famous food in Bali. Recommended if you likes seafood. And more it only have 1 menu and it's their specialty. Very affordable and comes with good taste, especially the grilled fish. 1 portion comes with rice, 1 grilled fish, and 1 fish soup. Many famous Indonesian had come to try this place. Very recommended if you are one of the seafood lover.
MoreThey only serve one menu here, fish! One portion of fried fish with sambal and a portion of fish stew. Taste is spot on. Located nearby the beach. Perfect comfort food for locals and foreigners. Everyone should try it. Should've got a Michelin star already.
MoreOne of the best restaurants to eat fresh fish. Not only on Bali, but probably around whole Asia. They only serve one meal "Catch of the day with rice and a bowl of fish soup". Though I was perfectly stuffed after one round, I ordered a second one solely because it is that amazingly delicious. Warung Mak Beng itself is a reason to visit Sanur on your trip to Bali. If you missed it, it's your fault.Ate there in April 2018 during the evening, waitresses where kind, food has been served after ~8min, price is way to less for the taste and quality.
MoreThe fried fish and the head fish soup is great.Love the soup which is using cucumber.
MoreBest place for eat fried fish and fish soup. they only have 2 types of menus. Fried fish and fish soup.Still the best seafood in Sanur Beach. Recommended place for your empty tummy 👍👍👍
MoreWe always come over to Warung Mak Beng, when we visited Bali. Don't expect you will find various fish food here. They only have fried fish and fish soup. But the food are very delicious :)
MoreOne big portion (incl rice, fried fish and fish head soup) is Rp. 55,000 which is reasonable price since they got you big cut of fish. I think one portion is better to be shared for two person, otherwise tell the staff if you want to get one of them or they will serve you 2 meals.Place is really hot, was sitting under the fan yet still sweating a lot.
MoreVery tasty the fried fish and fish soup. Located near sanur port
Not a fan of eating fishes but this place changed my mind. Savory and delicious!
Taste goodClean placeNear beach
Believe this fish soup will take me back to bali 👍 miss it!
The restaurant definitely lives up to its hype. Amazingly delicious snapper head soup with a side of rice, fried side of a snapper, and chili sauce. Highly recommended and will come back again. The broth is something else, have never tried it before. After we ordered, the food came out within 5 mins. They’re always busy so have patience when waiting to order your food.
MoreThe menu is simple, just rice, fish soup, fried fish and sambal, but they packed so much flavour! You can tell the fish is very fresh. It's relatively inexpensive for quite a lot of food.
MoreGood restaurant, only serve one menu, so they can keep their consistency on that dish
MoreThe Standard menu, Fish head soup a medium size of Fried Fish and steam rice, just perfect for sea fish lover with the price is just okey.
MoreThe Fish Soup was really tasty! Lil bit spicy but really good! They only have one menu. So you can not choose other menu except their package : Fish Soup and Fried Fish.
MoreGreat local spot for fish. Each day, they feature the catch of the day in 2 forms: fried and in a delicious soup. The sambal is delicious, but quite spicy!
MoreAfter short walking from pantai Sindhu to pantai Sanur. We stop to have a breakfast here..There is a cat watching me while am eating.I have him some fried fish and he likes it.Back to restaurant, the only menu is fish soup,. Fried fish and vegetable soup.. this place is a popular for breakfast and lunch.
MoreIf you visit Bali, Indonesia dont forget to try this delightful fish soup. For one menu you will get rice, fried fish, fish soup and sambal. A tasty fish broth with a few slices of cucumbers make its taste becomes so clean. The location is near from the entrance of Sanur beach. Unfortunately this is small food stall so sometimes you have to queued to enjoy its food.
MoreOne of my must visit place in Bali for lunch. A warung that only sells 1 set meal, rice with fried fish & fish head soup. The fried fish is cooked to perfection. Crunchy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. The soup is more on the spicy side, although still fresh & light. No fishy smell at all, which makes it even better. This place is always crowded, so prepare yourself to get in line. And, it’s a bit hot as well. But totally worth it. If you want to try their off the menu item. Ask for fried fish egg. It’s so goodddd
MoreCombo consist of fried fish, fish soup and a drink with reasonable price. Taste is great. Come early in the morning for breakfast, otherwise the place is very crowded and it'll be hard to get a table. Even though the place officially opens at 8, if they're ready, sometimes they start serving at 7.30 and there are lots of available tables.
MoreMak Beng offers the only course consists of fish soup, fried fish, and rice. You can order it separately, but people usually order the whole set. The fish soup tastes sour and refreshing.Fried fish tastes like the ordinary fried fish you can get anywhere in town. They also have local chili sauce called "sambal" to satisfy the one who likes it hot and spicy. The place is usually crowded. You will have to wait to get seating. You will have trouble getting a parking space, especially at lunchtime. It recommended going here by motorbike or by taxi.
MoreNear sanur beach, really popular for their fish dish, the taste really good and the soup really great. I had experience and that was good. Though they need to make more tables. Really recommended. The price quite expensive but at least you need to try once
MoreLove it... a simple place to eat. They only have fish head soup and fried fish. They have spicy sauce too. If you come at lunch or dinner, you must wait to get a chair. Taste is very unforgettable. Rekomended place
MoreIt got fresh fried fish and it was so delicious!! Must tried dish if you're visiting bali.. but the park space and seat pretty small
MoreI Love to eat here! Their fish always fresh, their yummy taste always consistent since years ago, and importantly their sambal always on point. I think that's why this place always packed during lunch time with tourists or locals. I will always look for a chance to have meals here since they now open until 10 pm. Good job Warung Mak Beng!!
MoreSome people say its delicious, but not that much for me, the cakalan fish is soft in texture but thats all.
MoreThe great place if you're looking for fresh ocean fish cuisine in Bali. The price is also worth for the portion given.
MoreToday i was served a bigger size of fish compare to my other visits. Very soft deep fried fish with the mid-spicy sambal for the spice taste combining with the Fish soup! Very delicate!
MoreOpened since 1941 I always go to Mak Beng and it never disappoints.
This restaurant serves one dish only which includes a bowl of soup, side of rice, fried fish cutlet and the best sambal ever. Service is very good, fast and friendly, great value for money. Can’t wait to go back and have that again
MoreMy favourite food and place in Denpasar, Bali. I once introduce by my friends from Singaraja, Bali. This place is crowded during lunch, so ussally i ate here before everyone having their lunch and i have finish swimming at the beach. The soup is warm and yellow clear, the chili sambal paste is great and the fried fish also super great. The served with white rice.
MoreThey only serve 2 menu, fried fish with sambal and yellow sauce fish with cucumber. Appetizing. I recommend you not coming here on the meal time because it ll be on the long queue. But it is worth to wait
MoreDelicacy of fish soup in Balinese spices, simply authentic cuisine. Taste may not be consistent tho when it’s too crowded. Come here early or in low season, you’ll get better experience!
MoreThis place is so crowded, and you really have to look for empty seats by yourself, hence not recommended for tourists from overseas. And the place was so hot during the day. However the food was awesome, i would say it was worth the wait. We ordered the package of fried fish, and fish soup with rice. The fried fish was so juicy and tender, the sambal was also great combination. The fish soup broth was amazing and refreshing. Definitely will come back, but next time might try to come earlier.
MoreFood was very good. Very crowded but quick service. Limited lunch menu only choice of two selections. Staff efficient but not too friendly as they are rushing around to do the service.
MoreFresh fish n nice soup, come back for the second time... the sambal not suit to my taste tho but the freshness of the fish makes me coming back again. I wish the fried fish can be marinated a bit with salt as its to plain but hey appreciated the freshness taste of it. Enjoy!
MoreThe best fish dish in bali with affordable prices
A mixed of fried fish with fish head. Great taste. Better arrive at afternoon, enjoying sanur beach nearby
MoreThe foods are always great, the price for a portion and a glass of orange is Rp. 71.000,- . I waited for almost 100 minutes to get my seat with my daughter (2 people only). But everything is worth it for me, because I really love the food and definitely I will go back here again and again.
MoreRice + fish soup + fried fish only 55k.Orange Juice only 16k.Love it!their price are worth
MoreThey have delicious and cheap cuisine! It was incredible. But the servant were not kind. No smaile and always show tired expressions
MoreTraditional Balinese food with seafood specialty. Love the the fish soup. Sometime the place is very busy during lunch time and parking challenging if you bring own car.
MoreThe reviews here fooled us.7000+ and 4.5 we thought we couldn't go wrong.I'm sure the fish could taste good, but ours was served in under 2 minutes and was obviously made a couple of hours before. Crusty, dry, and on the flavourless side.If you come here because of the reviews, make sure you ask for fresh made fish, otherwise you might be served old food like us.The fish soup was spicy and tasted ok.
MoreOne of halal food that you must try when visiting Bali. Their fish is one of the best I ever eat
MoreFreshness overload, i mean i like it v much!!
Lovely...i like it but i was forgot to visit there when i was in Denpasar😧It just like other fried fish, the different on the fish if wasn't wrong the fish not from the sea and they cooked it local ingredient, it taste sweet, spicy and tasteful.U must try it, it's located near Sanur beach.
MoreWhen you're bored or want to take a break from all the pork in Bali, head over to Mak Beng for some fish dishes. We ordered their regular packet, which includes plain rice, fried fish with spicy sauce, and a bowl of fish soup. My favourite is their fish soup, it has a tangy taste to it and the fish is fresh. Nothing wrong with their fried fish too, it's just a bit too spicy for my taste. Maybe I'll ask them for a non-spicy option next time! The place is non air conditioned, so maybe it's not too good for babies.
